Assessment Centre
Assessment Centre had a sold out run at the Etcetera Theatre as part of Camden Fringe 2023, was listed in RatedReviewed’s ‘Top 10 shows of 2023’, and was nominated for an OFFFest Award.
Equal parts silly and serious, Henry satirises his own experiences of working in HR to create an absurdist piece of drama set in the world of recruitment. Two polar opposite job applicants must compete with one another in a series of tasks; rationality crumbles under the pressure to succeed and the pair find themselves exploring their grief and trauma in this unlikely high-stakes context.
“Assessment centre is impeccably written by Craig Henry, combing the perfect mix of humour, realism and emotion”

“The concept is likable ; the performances are impressive and the script is strong”
London Pub Theatres
“Craig Henry crafts a profound commentary on grief’s myriad forms.”
Fringe Biscuit
“A fantastic example of how to combine and balance two very different types of stories. Much like Henry’s well-crafted characters, the contrasts strengthen the performance and help to create
a wonderful piece of theatre”
