The Collective Online: A Four-Month Playwriting Programme

Write a full-length play from wherever you are. Four monthly workshops on Zoom, a cohort of fellow writers, and a first draft of your new play.

The Collective Online is an intensive four-month programme that turns a play idea into a full-length script. You commit to a collaborative, structured writing process that takes the loneliness out of playwriting. It is a safe space for growth, development and peer mentorship, with one clear goal: a completed play. The course will be led by Craig Henry but its focus comes from all of you sharing your work, offering feedback and writing with one aim in mind, to finish your play.

Your commitment:

  • Write and complete one full-length play (over 60 minutes) in four months.

  • Attend four mandatory three-hour monthly workshops on Zoom.

  • Keep a weekly writing schedule, share your work, and support your peers.

  • Arrive at each session with new material and leave with clear monthly targets and notes.

  • Take part in a monthly peer-to-peer feedback partnership, in the session and offline.

  • Finish the programme with a full draft of your play.

  • Locations - Workshops will take place online via zoom and will be hosted 10:00 - 13:00 GMT UK time.

  • All of these sessions are mandatory.
